PBF is proud to be a recipient of the proceeds of this very special motorcycle tag. The patriotic tag continues to gain popularity with bikers who want to support vision preservation.

CBHC_logo-01-web_2The Children’s Board of Hillsborough County funds Prevent Blindness Florida to expand its children’s vision screenings and parent education from Oct. 2014-Sept. 2015. Our goal is to screen 1,200 children and educate 300 parents/caregivers about vision health and safety at home, at play, and during sports. As part of the parent education session, we provide adult vision screenings, and we provide medical vision services and eye wear if needed. We are also in line for a second phase grant for $95,000 for 2015-2016. We have held a subcontract with them for years to screen kids at area Children’s Board Family Resource Centers.

give-well-logoThe Seeing Lakeland Vision Screening Program, sponsored by the GiveWell Community Foundation, provides free vision screenings to children and adults, utilizing health services at Lakeland’s clinic of the Polk County Health Department.  PBF also screens with Family Fundamentals, Girls Inc of Lakeland, and the Boys & Girls Club of Lakeland.

Transitions Optical ipromotes healthy sight worldwide, and supports organizations that provide education and eye health solutions through its Transitions Healthy Sight for Life Fund (TM).

allegany-logoAllegany Franciscan Ministries has awarded Prevent Blindness Florida three major grants. We currently hold a Major Grant to provide adult vision screenings in Hillsborough and Pinellas.

Each year Premier image donates to Prevent Blindess Florida in an effort to help people preserve their sight.  PBF thanks Premier Eye Care for this extraordinary commitment to our shared mission of improving vision care for all our nation’s citizens.

publixLogoPublix supports the Healthy Vision Corner, a program which provides education and assistance on adult eye diseases, and identifies low-income adults who are losing their eyesight, are at risk for blindness, or are living with a visual impairment. PBF would like to thank Publix for their support of this initiative.

YankeesEach year the New York Yankees help sponsor the Transitions “Think About Your Eyes” Walk.  PBF was proud to offer vision screenings during children’s wellness day and partner with VSP and other nationally known vision industry leaders.
